We are here at Home Goods this morning, “looking for somethings for the house.” I came across a product by mode that I just had to have. It’s a compactor for recycled products. You put you cans or bottles in it and it takes care of the compacting. The other great thing is that it holds a weeks worth of recycled products. I’ll hunt for a link when we get back to the office and I’ll update.
What’s the truth SIGG? Are we BPA Free or not?
August 16, 2009You would think that with all the concerns with products containing BPA, companies, especially international ones like SIGG have a social responsibility to be honest to the public.
This is a letter in answer to an email that I sent to SIGG last year.
Dear Mr. Xxxx
I’ve only been with them for a little over 1 year.
I am not aware of any major changes to our liner in the last 2 years as you mention – I’d be interested in seeing the reports you are referring to.
While the ingredients of the SIGG liner are proprietary, I can tell you that our bottles are tested frequently in Quality Control as well as in independent laboratories. In all the tests, SIGG bottles show no migration of chemicals, no trace of BPA. SIGGs are safe and I believe are the best reusable water bottles on the market.
The latest certification of the SIGG bottle and liner took place at the Nehring Institute in Germany.
I hope this answers your concerns.
Best wishes,
Steve
They love to give the runaround in regards to this question. As you can see, even the letter is not clear about BPA.
As you will notice from the link below, Mrs. Silas also received the same response. No matter how far she went to get a clear concise answer on BPA in the liner, it was never answered.
